Dentist with a special interest in Endodontics
BDS (London) 2008, MSc (Endo)
GDC No. 155319
Bal qualified from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Dental School at the University of London in 2008. Following graduation, he gained experience in hospital dentistry within consultant-led departments. This included roles at King’s College Dental Institute in London across Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Special Care Dentistry, Sedation, Paediatrics and Restorative Dentistry, as well in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Bristol.
During this time, Bal successfully completed postgraduate examinations, gaining Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MJDF) in 2010 and Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MFDS) in 2011.
This diverse training provided Bal with a broad foundation of knowledge and experience in managing more advanced dental procedures, which he later applied in private general practice for many years. He developed a particular interest in Endodontics (root canal treatment) and began accepting referrals for endodontic cases across several private practices in the Midlands. This interest and passion culminated in Bal completing a Master’s degree (MSc) in Endodontics with merit, where he also achieved a distinction for his final dissertation.
His practice is now dedicated exclusively to endodontic referrals. By focusing solely on this area of dentistry alone, Bal has developed significant expertise in the field, treating approximately 500–600 cases each year. This dedicated approach allows him to remain up to date with the latest research, techniques and equipment in endodontics. He is also a member of the British Endodontic Society and works in a multidisciplinary dental consultant led private practice in Worcestershire dealing with particularly complex cases.
Bal has considerable experience in treating anxious and nervous patients. He takes pride in his gentle approach and calm manner, with many patients commenting on how relaxed they feel during treatment—some even falling asleep during their root canal procedure.
Bal accepts referrals for the management of all complex endodontic cases including, but not limited to, root canal treatment, retreatment, surgical endodontics, instrument and post removal, perforation repair, resorption cases, open apices, trauma and vital pulp therapy.
Outside of dentistry, Bal enjoys spending time on the golf course, going to the gym and following Formula 1.

Dentist with a specialist interest in Implantology
BDS University of Birmingham 2004
GDC NO. 83514
Dr. Daljeet Tamber (known in the practice as Dal) is the Lead Implantologist here at Hughes and Owen Swadlincote. A graduate of the University of Birmingham, where he earned his dental degree in 2004, Dal began his journey in implant dentistry with foundational training at Dentale Shrewsbury and furthered his expertise with advanced certification from two of the most prestigious institutions in the field: the Eastman Institute in London and the ICE Centre in Manchester. With extensive experience across multiple practices in the Midlands, Dal has developed a deep expertise in implant dentistry and his clinical capabilities range from simple, single-tooth implants to full-arch restorations. Dal utilises modern techniques such as digital scanning and bespoke surgical guides to ensure precision and optimal outcomes for his patients.
Outside of dentistry, Dal enjoys quality time with his wife and two young children. He’s also attempting to learn Spanish — for the third or fourth time. When he’s not hitting the books, Dal tries to stay active — though he’s learned the hard way that enthusiasm sometimes leads to more time on the injury bench than the gym bench!
